Jonathan Hidalgo, born and raised in the city of Elgin in Illinois, is the youngest child of six. Growing up the son of a pastor, Jonathan was very familiar with church but came to truly experience God at the age of twelve.

Thereafter he grew a passion for music and the word of God. Seeking to fulfill God’s calling in his life, Jonathan began to help his father and the church in any way he could. He was the music director and pianist at the church for several years. He accompanied his dad on mission trips to the countries of Salvador and Guatemala and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

In 2006, he married his wife Amarylis and together they have two children, Aylani and Levi.

Today Jonathan is the senior pastor of The Encounter Church in the city of New Port Richey, FL. He has a passion for people and those who are in need. His mission is to reach those that everyone overlooks. The hurt, the broken, the poor, the addict, and lead them to the cross where they can have an encounter with Jesus Christ. Spreading hope and the gospel to those around.
